This week's question:
The New Year is here -- and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?
- Design! I really need to work on the look of my blog. I like the way it is at the moment but I'd just like to get a nicer header and make the whole thing look a bit more inviting.
- I need to look into hosting giveaways, guest posts, author interviews- that sort of thing! Just some fun stuff.
- Not strictly blog-related but I am definitely going to be more picky about books in 2012. I read far too many mediocre not-my-thing books in 2011 and it's a real downer. Now that I have a Kindle I can sample every book before buying so hopefully I won't buy any more books that I'm not going to like.
- Network my blog more and comment on other people's posts a lot more!
Whew, I better get started, ha!
Hopping by to return the visit and follow! Networking's a good idea. There are so many great people out there in the blogosphere and you wind up being involved in the coolest things when you have a group of blogger friends. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with blogging in 2012! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time!

Hey- I'm your 90th follower! Congratulations and good luck on getting 100!
ReplyDeleteAh, I agree! I should probably have added the giveaways and guest posts into my answer as well since I definitely want to start doing those next year! And I'll be looking forward to seeing your new blog design :)

I can definitely relate to these goals! Especially the one about not forcing yourself to read books you're not really interested in. I need to learn to put down a book if I'm struggling to get through it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm a new follower. :)
Hopping through. What a great idea to sample books before buying. I should do that more as well.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Great resolutions! :) I've gotten a little bit pickier about what I will read too. I think it's just one of those things that just happens.

Hello there! New follower. =) It sounds like you've got some good goals planned!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine.
Hopping by! I'm planning on hosting giveaways as well. :) Old follower. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteCome stop by my Friday Hop. :D!
I am also going to be a bit more selective when it comes to books. I don't like feeling like I wasted my time reading a book that isn't worth reviewing. Great blog!

We have some similar goals. Thanks for stopping by my blog - I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteOnce you start being picky about what to read it's SO much more fun. ;) I was always having those "do I really have to pick this book up again" moments...not so much anymore!
ReplyDeleteI also made the decision a few months back...if I really can't stand a book, to step away. I was struggling through a book I really hated. Best decision ever. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by Letters Inside Out!
just blogging by, great goals.

I hate it when I pick up book and not like at all. First it's a waist of money and second there is no joy in reading! It's such a downer. :(
ReplyDeleteMy Follow Friday!
Have a happy new year!

Great goals good luck with achieving them.
ReplyDeleteNew follower btw am you 100 follower so congrats on reaching 100 followers :)
Great resolutions. I have a nook and I'm in love with it. It's definitely great for trying out books before you commit. I think I'll give myself like a set page number rule. Like if I'm not into it by page 50 it gets put aside. My time is valuable. About your blog design, I've found some great designs over at silversdesign.blogspot.com. Check it out!
