Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It's where we showcase all the books we're eager to get our hands on!

My choice for this week is...

Release Date: August 7th 2012

Description:
16 year old Anna Rogan has a secret she's only shared with her best friend, Rei; she can astrally project out of her body, allowing her spirit to explore the world and the far reaches of the universe.
When there's a fatal accident and her classmate Taylor takes over Anna's body, what was an exhilarating distraction from her repressive home life threatens to become a permanent state. Faced with a future trapped in another dimension, Anna turns to Rei for help. Now the two of them must find a way to get Anna back into her body and stop Taylor from accusing an innocent friend of murder. Together Anna and Rei form a plan but it doesn't take into account the deeper feelings that are beginning to grow between them.

Why I'm waiting on this book:

The protagonist can astrally project. Enough said really.  Plus look at that cover!! All I can say is hurry up August! Who's waiting on this one with me?

  11. Great pick Nicola! The cover is beautiful. I've never read a book with astral projection, it sounds pretty amazing but also a little scary. I don't like the fact someone else has taken up residence in her body. :)

  12. A new spin on paranormal YA (just when you think everything had been tried!). Looks cool, nice WoW. It reminds me a bit of Hourglass, but maybe that is just the cover....

  18. You're right. I love the premise. I haven't read about astral projection before. (Except in a "non-fiction" book about spiritual warfare that I read in 8th grade... probably something my mom should have taken away from me. Terrifying.)
